Runway Flying

The blue rock site features a 100m strip with clear approaches in both directions. Great views, and a great location to fly RC planes.

Club fly days are usually Sundays from 9am weather permitting.

Want to learn to fly? Simply contact us and we can arrange a time to introduce you to flying. There is no cost involved to try the sport.

If you like it, you can join the club. Equipment requirements and where to source them can be discussed with the members on the day.

Float Flying

Float flying is offered as an option at the Blue Rock site. Access to the water is not too far from the pits area. Suitable for days of Light winds, light Westerlys, or North Westerlys.

Indoor Flying

The Club has recently secured a venue for indoor flying. Made up of two courts with a higher than normal roof line, make this site ideal for the indoor enthusiast.

If you are interested in trying indoor flying, or just want to look, we are meeting on the first and third Saturdays between 11am and 3pm at the Morwell Leisure Center, McDonald Street Morwell.

Visitors can watch for free or try-fly on the day for $10 payable at the counter. Ongoing, a Club Flying Membership which includes insurance is required, plus $10 on the day to fly payable at the counter.

Equipment requirements and where to source them can be discussed with the members on the day.

Contact the club for more information.

Helicopter Area

The Club has recently allocated an area for RC helicopter flying. There are two flying zones within this area. Helicopters are also welcome to fly on the strip if they can fly the circuit.

If you are interested in RC Helicopter flying feel free to contact the club.
