The BRAG RC Model Plane Club is pleased to announce the Official Club Open Day to be held on the SUNDAY, 19th March 2023.

(If the weather is not suitable it will be pushed back to the 26th of March)

The club would like to invite all VMAA – MAAA affiliate clubs & their members to visit and enjoy our new Club site for our first inter club Fly Day.

Flying

Flying starts at 9.00 am.

Gates open at 8.00 am.

On the day it will be predominantly float flying with the occasional strip fly.

Generally our club site provides a 100 meter long strip suitable for most sizes of aircraft, Blue Rock Lake for float planes, two Helicopter circles are also now available.

Entry

Flyers: A $10 Flyers fee towards the running of the club is greatly appreciated.

General Visitors: A Gold coin donation by general visitors is appreciated.

Refreshments

There will be a BBQ on the day and cold drinks available.

Sausages $3.00, Hamburgers $5.00, Drinks $2.50

Pilots Choice Award

Yes, the pilots get to choose the best float plane for the day, and the winner receives a cool looking trophy. The word best is very subjective, and there will be many appealing planes on the day. Lets see who takes out the trophy on the day.

Amenities

There are portable toilets on site for your convenience.

We envisage to have tank water available in time for the event.

It is recommended to bring drinking water or you can purchase water bottles from the club.

There is NO 240Volts power on site.

Currently there is NO 12V Charging station.

Parking

There is parking along the north side of the tree line and as signed.

There will be a drop off zone near the pits entry area.

Gates open at 8.00 am

There is accommodation in Yarragon which is on the way to the Club and only 22 minutes from the club.

BRAG RC Club Location

Turn north on Willow Grove Road at the town of Trafalgar.

You will need to cross the train tracks just prior to this opposite the United petrol station.

Access to the club is through the gate straight ahead at the end of blue Rock Road. DO NOT turn left into the new estate.

Other items of interest

The General Store is now open under new management. The Store is open 7 Days a week and opens at 7am and closes at 7pm. Feel free to grab a coffee on the way into the club. The store is only about 200m past our turn off.

There is a walking track that connects our club site to the main Willow Grove Park, swim area and boat ramp. It is a nice walk along the shoreline that is about 1.2 km long.

The Irish Pub is a short walk and is open on Saturday and Sunday 12noon to 10pm. More details can be found by clicking here.
